2023 Dodge Hornet

The 2023 Dodge Hornet will be the first performance-themed compact car from the brand. It will also be the first vehicle in the brand’s line to use a plug-in hybrid powertrain.

The Dodge Hornet will be offered in two trim levels. First, there will be the base Hornet GT model. This will feature a 2.0-liter turbocharged “Hurricane” four-cylinder engine that produces 295 lb.-ft of torque. That’s enough to give it a 0-60 time of 6.1 seconds.

In addition to its powerful engine, the Hornet features a number of other advanced features. These include a brake-by-wire system and Brembo four-piston fixed front calipers. Also included are Koni frequency selective damping shocks.

The Hornet is also equipped with a power sunroof. You can also choose the Track Pack, which includes dual-stage-valve suspension, racier Alcantara seats, and 20-inch “Abyss” wheels.

There will also be a version of the Hornet with a 1.3-liter turbocharged inline-4. The engine will be paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. Combined, the engine and the motor generate 285 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque.

When combined, the battery pack offers 30 miles of all-electric range. Its charge takes about 2.5 hours on a Level 2 charger, which will replenish the 15.5 kwh of capacity. The battery also has a PowerShot mode that allows the driver to instantly boost the horsepower by up to 25 hp for a few seconds.

Other features in the Hornet R/T model include a regenerative braking function, a PowerShot overboost, and a six-speed automatic transmission. Despite its high performance, the Hornet still retains an EPA-estimated fuel economy of 79 MPGe.

When Can I Order a 2023 Dodge Hornet?

The 2023 Dodge Hornet is a compact crossover SUV that will compete against vehicles such as the Kia Selto, Volkswagen Taos, and Jeep Compass. It will also offer the brand’s first hybrid powertrain.

Aside from the standard model, Dodge will offer two additional options. The first is the R/T model, which features a plug-in hybrid powertrain. This model will use a turbocharged 1.3-liter four-cylinder engine and an electric motor to generate 383 pound-ft of torque and 285 horsepower.

The other is the GT model, which is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. In addition to the plug-in hybrid, this model is equipped with a nine-speed automatic transmission.

Another option is the blacktop package, which will feature the Hornet in an all-black finish. Both of these trim levels will include a 12-kWh battery pack that will provide 30 miles of driving range.

The Hornet will be offered in seven exterior colors. There will also be three different interior options. All of these models will have the latest Uconnect 5 infotainment system. Each will feature a 10.3-inch touchscreen.

Additionally, every model will be equipped with the latest Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility. Other features include dual exhaust ports, illuminated daytime running lights, and tilted center stack controls.

Finally, the Hornet will be available with either a nine-speed automatic or a six-speed automatic transmission. Regardless of which powertrain is chosen, the 2023 Hornet will have standard all-wheel drive.

At a time when car companies are trying to find an edge, Dodge is looking to regain ground in the small crossover segment with the new Hornet. The vehicle offers both performance and eco-conscious drivers with the highest standard performance in the brand’s lineup.

Dodge in almost a decade is the 2023 Dodge Hornet

The first new vehicle from Dodge in almost a decade is the 2023 Dodge Hornet. It is a compact SUV that looks like a smaller version of the Durango. The Hornet will be built in Italy.

There will be five models available. The base model will be called the Hornet SXT. Other models include the GT, R/T, and Citadel.

The Dodge Hornet will feature a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine and nine-speed automatic transmission. The turbocharged engine produces 265 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. This should make it the fastest compact utility vehicle on the market.

Another exciting addition is a plug-in hybrid option. A 12-kWh battery pack will provide the vehicle with a range of 30 miles. This is a major step toward fully electrifying vehicles.

The Hornet R/T will be available in spring of 2023. This model features integrated dual exhaust ports and a 12-kWh battery pack. It will be assembled in Naples, Italy.

For drivers that prefer a more traditional powertrain, the Hornet will be available with a turbocharged 1.3-liter four-cylinder engine and six-speed automatic transmission. Pricing has not yet been released. The R/T will also come with an Abyss-painted lower cladding.

The 2023 Dodge Hornet will also offer a Wi-Fi hotspot. This will allow drivers to connect their devices to the car’s Uconnect 5 infotainment system. Users can customize their experience using multiple user profiles. Additionally, the car will have wireless Apple CarPlay and Amazon Alexa.

Depending on the model, the Hornet will come in seven exterior hues. The colors range from Acapulco Gold to 8 Ball.

Is Dodge Bringing Back the Hornet?

Dodge has a new crossover SUV on the way. It’s called the Hornet, and it is slated to debut in 2020. In addition to the new Hornet, the brand is also launching a plug-in hybrid, an electric vehicle. These two vehicles are important to the brand’s overall electrification strategy.

The Hornet is a small crossover SUV that will be based on the Alfa Romeo Tonale platform. This is the vehicle that Dodge plans to launch in 2020, replacing the Journey crossover.

As of now, it’s unclear if the Hornet will be a compact utility vehicle or a mid-size vehicle. However, it will be a very nice-looking ute.

A 2006 concept car had an upscale feel, and it was based on a small footprint. It also had suicide rear doors.

While it’s hard to tell exactly what the Hornet will look like, it will feature a design that borrows some styling from the Charger. But it’s a more subdued and less aggressive design than the Charger.

The Hornet is slated to feature both a 1.3-liter four-cylinder engine and a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder. These are both expected to produce around 285 horsepower.

Both powertrains will be paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. An R/T model will come with paddle shifters, adding “pull-to-pass” power.

The PHEV has a 1.3-liter turbocharged I-4, along with a 15.5-kWh battery pack. That makes it capable of 30 miles of all-electric range.

Meanwhile, the GT models will use a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline 4-cylinder. That makes them capable of 140 mph, and it’s a very good power-to-weight ratio.

Dodge Hornet 2023

The Dodge Hornet 2023 will be the brand’s first new compact crossover in over a decade. This model is expected to begin hitting dealerships toward the end of 2022. Known for its unique styling, the small SUV will combine modern technology with the muscle car-inspired look of the Charger and Challenger.

Designed with the driver in mind, the Hornet includes a number of technologies designed to enhance the driving experience. Among the highlights are a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.3-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. Additionally, the compact SUV offers features such as blind spot detection, automatic emergency braking, and cyclist detection.

The Hornet also comes with standard LED headlights. In addition, the SUV’s ride quality is sharpened with specially-designed shocks and Brembo four-piston brake calipers.

With an available track pack, drivers can take the Hornet to the next level. The Track Pack includes embroidered Dodge Rhombi logos, a computer-adjustable suspension, and class-exclusive Alcantara seats. Other features include a 360-degree camera system, blind spot detection, and rear cross-traffic alert.

The Hornet will also feature a plug-in hybrid powertrain. The R/T model includes a 1.3-liter four-cylinder engine and an electric motor that powers the wheels. The battery is a 12-kWh unit that provides 30 miles of range.

The Hornet also features a nine-speed automatic transmission. Its optimum performance is achieved by employing a sport mode, which optimizes gear changes.

The Hornet will be equipped with a Direct Connection program, which will allow owners to customize their vehicles with factory-backed parts. Upgrades include larger wheels, power boosts, and customizable decals.
